my new to me st4s has ducati race cans fitted to it, while they sound glorious they are way too loud. however thats not the question... if they were fitted without any adjustments/chipped etc would that cause wooly running on a steady throttle? as in at about 3-4k in any gear on a steady throttle it hunts/misses like mad. i have the standard cans in the shed and i'm going to re-fit them as my ears are ringing!!!
What year bike? The 2001 ST4S DP cans did not come with another ECU. The set up just required some adjustment to the fuel trim. Later bikes using the IAW5AM ECU (2004) got a DP ECU. The DP cans are loud!!
she's a 2001 model. i'm putting the standard cans on this evening and i'll try it on a spin after that
