  1. Could someone tell me the torque for the exhaust clamp please.

  2. Not aware that the part has a torque figure. Looked through my 1200 workshop manual and can’t find anything. Andy

  3. Workshop manual for 1200 DVT MTS states 18Nm for the "Pre-silencer to vertical pipe retainer", I think that's the component that you're indicating in the diagram.

#6 is listed as the Presilencer here.

See page 6 for the Exhaust section on the attached PDF, this the the frame torque pages from the manual for the 1200 DVT MTS (I named them for the 1260s as that's what I have and believe that the values are, in the vast majority, the same).

For your future reference I'm also attaching the pages for the engine torque values.

  4. Checked my manual again and still can’t see anything :( Does 18Nm seem a little high to you ? It’s what, a 4 or 5 mm bolt ? Andy

  5. Have just looked it up and that's the correct value, see page 840 and 841 of the manual, Specifically illustrates that clamp and states "Tighten clip (11) to a torque of 18 Nm ± 10%.".

  6. The OP can download the full manual for the 1200 DVT MTS from a post by another member here.
