Has anyone in the Uk hacked at their standard exhaust and removed the cat ? I know someone in the US has done plenty of them along with completely gutting them. Just wondered if anyone had loads of pictures to show exactly what is and isn't cut out when you do this mod. I am not bothered about the mesh grilles as in the US, just was thinking of removing the cats and a little bit of pipework inside the silencers if I was to pick up a spare set cheap.
Let me know how you get on as I may well be having a bash at this myself. My 1199 already has the upmap in place but is on standard cans (Long story) so removing the cat should have no adverse fuelling effects. I don't like the mesh grill job they are doing on the US, I'd rather it look stock.

Thanks, I did see that but it didn't actually show what bits to cut out, didn't want to cut the wrong part and the exit bit to be dangling in mid air! I need to source some cheap cans first, seen a couple go for under £40/£50, there are a few on ebay now, may make a cheeky offer.
