1200 Exhaust Cover Plate

  1. Have any of you replaced the copper coloured cover plate on your exhaust with an aftermarket piece? I've seen some in black and carbon. Mine is looking a bit worn and tbh I'm not a big fan of the colour.

  2. I enquired about an OEM replacement (mine was black but tarnished), which wasn't too dear from memory but went Akrapovic which came with its own in the end. Could spray it of course.

  3. Take it off, get it powder coated. Easiest way.

  6. If you do that, get them to do the sump guard and pillion hangers at the same time. I had mine done, they look loads better in black.

  8. I didn’t fit the pillion hanger, but here’s the sump guard

  11. That looks proper smart!

  12. Would anodising be as hard wearing as powder coating?

  13. 6AF55913-8355-4DBE-BD0C-A2BB2D03C8B1.jpeg It’s been fine on all the bikes I’ve done it one, no wear that I’ve seen. This is my latest one. (Also I have an anodising company fairly close to me and they do it for cash)

  14. That looks so much better. I wonder who at Ducati thought that a silver sump guard and pillion hangers would look good.
