Hi All, Anyone running their 1199 / 1299 without a exhaust Heat Shield? Be interested to know how you're getting on with the heat as I'm undecided as to if I should purchase and fit a new carbon one. Thanks Gav
I run my 959 track bike without one and I wouldn’t recommend it for the road. It’s ok for a 20 min session where none of the time is spent standing still but once the engine is up to temperature the moment you are stationary the heat builds up very quickly.
Have run it with and without, for my style of riding it makes very little difference and you save about 1.1kg not having it.
