Time to start getting the 999 ready to go for an ecu remap/service/inspection at Clutton Hill. I was hoping to get the reflash after fitting what needs to be fitted to go with the race Termi can. I have a pair clean DP filters (just in case they have not been fitted already) and was trying work out if the exhaust was just a can or whether it was fitted as a complete system inc decat pipe. The horiz cylinder centre pipe section looks like an OE one but the area where the cat sits does not look right. It has the heat shied but the pipe is same diameter through the section (welds either side as normal) but it has 5540812-02 stamped on it just in front of the RH footpeg. Three questions for the experts on here 1. Is it worth fitting a decat pipe, if so anyone any experience of the MIVV one? It will go on with DP filters, a service at Louigi Moto and remap at CJS 2. Does the number I noted above mean anything to any one? Is it the original pipe or part of a Termi exhaust kit? 3. Where is the horizontal pipe part number usually marked on the OE pipe? Bluey, I elected to go with that one and have one on order for £128. One it is all done I will post up the dyno info for anyone's interest. Did you have any issues fitting it?
