Exhaust upgrade advice for 2013 1200 S Touring

  1. I've got a 2011 1200s Sport with the full Termi system - which I love. I am going to buy a new 2013 (soon!) and want to upgrade the exhaust.

Ducati said that I cannot put my 2011 Termi on the new 2013 bike. So I will take off and sell on ebay.

    What would you advise?

AirCon Technical spoke about the Leo Vince full system for £800 which my dealer recommends and by all accounts is v good.

A fitted 2013 full Termi would be about £1,500.

I am not after ear bleeding sound and have been pleased with the Termi but with a potential £700 difference will be having a look at other options.

    Thanks in advance all.

  2. From what I read on here, the Leo Vince mid pipe is louder. That is only what I have read on here though. I would love to get the 2013 Termi but am not sure what is the best route.

  3. I think your termi will fit the 2013,the main thing is the 2013 uses a up map,not sure if the map is bike specific ? if not you could always borrow one and load the map to your ecu.You are welcome to borrow mine if you are local ?

  4. Exhaust is the same. Only the ECU is a remap key. Not sure if you could just buy the key alone.

You can't use another person's key because once its use to unlock the Full system map, its only other function is to switch it to stock.

The hardware though is the same. However, I think you should still get a good price for you full system. Just bite the bullet and get a new one.

The fuelling of the 2013 is so sweet. No sense ruining it.

Or, just switch the pipes over then remap the whole thing. Not sure how you could defeat the exhaust valve sensor though. the Mivv solution is simple. Just a spring at the end of the wire!
