Background: I am a USA resident that has been living here in the UK for about 9 years. My wife and I are considering moving back to the USA (various reasons, but primarily because parents are getting older). I own a '16 Monster 1200R that I would like to take with me if/when we move back. Here is what I found about legality: "As a guideline, when looking for an motorcycle import specialist, they should inform you that the it must be: 1. US specifications (engine) or 2. 25 years or older or 3. Imported temporarily, for less than 12 months or 4. On diplomatic/government orders In this case the first two are permanent motorcycle imports while the last two are temporary." Question: Does a UK spec Ducati Monster 1200R share the same specifications as a USA spec Ducati Monster 1200R? I seem to remember hearing that Euro/USA engines were there same. Is there any truth to this? Any info is appreciated as I have no idea how to verify whether it complies or not. Thanks, Erik
