Got an EXVL warning light on the dash now.Came on during a longish ride but the bike still ran great for the next 100 miles till home. Manual tells me it the Exhaust valve starter motor.What is this?where can I find it ? and above all-is it serious! Any info much appreciated
Check the cat behind the exhaust heat shield you see a cable and a spring assembly this tends to stick due to corrosion soak it in WD40 and leave it overnight, when you start the bike you should hear a noise from the motor before you start the engine this is the servo operating the spring/flap assembly.
