Orite chaps and chappettes. Ive had tonnes of bikes but never had a Ducati, putting that right and picking up a new Multistrada (always fancied one) in a couple of days. Anyhroads, I'm from Mancunia and regularly get round the Trough, north Yorky, Scokland and that Wales, which is where I've always thought the Multi looked like it was going well in whatever the road and weather threw at it. I was at Crossgates a couple of weeks ago cursing the suspension on my Superduke GT and one pulled in so I went for a shufty. First time I've ever really sussed one out properly in the flesh and the first thing that I realized was that they were nowhere near as big as I thought. And it looked really well nailed together and pretty cute now they've de-beaked it a tad. So,, test ride booked. Literally within 200 yards I knew I was having one. It reminded me so much of my Smt which I adored and should have kept! Moved on to some decent local roads and I don't think I've ever been so impressed with a bike straight off, must have been set up for a fatty. So, lurgy permitting this weekend I should have a big red Duc. See yer later :sunglasses:
Had a cracking 300+ yesterday through that Yorkshire up to Hartside via Rivington, Skipton, Kettlewell, Hawes, Tan Hill, Stanhope, Middleton and Teesdale and Alston. This bike seems custom built for me. Love it. Pretty much deserted roads and one of the best rides I've had for years. Never gone down the bends from Hartside with so much confidence on a bike before. It's so light and neutral handling. Me toe sliders are trashed. :raabia
