1200 Fairing Screens - Again ....

  1. I had the original screen and found the buffeting unbearable. Tried the spacers. Made it a bit better but still horrible. Tried no screen at all and it's a million times better. So now going for a pikes peak style screen as it's as close as you can get to no screen but still protect the dash and satnav a bit. Anyone got any feed back on whether a PP screen is better with/without spacers and given the 4 hole ones give you a high and a low option has anyone tried the combination of no spacers, spacers pointing up and spacers pointing down to save me the grief of having to take it all on and off several times.

[Note] the 2013/14 bike has 4 hole fixings on the screens which allow you to fit the spacers pointing either up or down so have more flexibility over how to adapt.

  2. Try it yourself as everyone is different, helmets clothing and height of upper body is never going to be the same.

  3. I swapped to using a PP style screen years back.
I've never fitted any spacers as it was fine as it was.
It is great but obviously doesn't give much protection if the weather is pants or for long high speed motorway stints.
If your planning a long trip I would fig the big screen to get there & back if your using motorways, and take the shirt screen for having fun when your there.
