Can anyone recommend somewhere I can buy a new full set of 748 fairings and decals? I have a friend with a bodyshop so I will get them painted etc. Thanks All
Ebay often has a lot of the cheap Chinese\Taiwanese fairing sets for sale quite regularly. I have not used them myself and reviews have been mixed but mostly positive. Many come with a mono seat so if you have a biposto then you will need to buy a mono seat pad as they are different between the seat models, or repaint and use your original seat unit. You will still need to repaint the tank and airbox unit and often the Red in the foreign fairing sets will be no match for the original Ducati colour. Typical cheap set below. Yes, as mentioned Recambi Weiss. They will be fibreglass not plastic though. I use them for track fairings and they are decent.
Note that they list the fairings as 748/916/996/998 but the have the large vent that the 998 definitely can't take Ricambi-Weiss Motorradteile - 18092 STRADA VERKLEIDUNG DUCATI 748 916 996 998
The 998 fairing set is a separate item, if you want the slab sided panels of the later bikes look for them seperately in the index. The 998 set also has a full belly pan. It's a 3 piece lower set and not five like the 998S models. It was about £165 per full kit at one time. Decent value at the time.
