Evening petrolheads....I posted a while back about the fans on my 998 being on permanent when turning on the ignition, it sorted itself out and had run trouble free since. It got hot and bothered in traffic today and I'm sure neither of the fans came on, gauge went up to the max and didn't come back down until I was moving. I got home and let it idle a bit, gauge up to about 110C and no fans came on. I've checked ECU ground, coolant levels, etc. Right hand fan kicks on for about half a second on first turn of the key, left one doesn't, is this normal? How do I go about testing the temp sensor? An other ideas? ta.
Had a poke about with it briefly today, if I unplug the temp sensor both fans kick in full, so they are working fine. I'm guessing the sensor is fuggled, can anyone confirm that their fans do this if unplugged at the sensor? Seems like a common part.
