916 6 Years
just over 6 years ago I was running about on a 748 SPS along with my MV. The vertical Cylinder belt shredded. Thought it was a disaster and started searching for a new head just for starters. During the search came across a 916sp engine throttles P8 and loom so snapped it up
While the bike was stripped decided to clean the lot got some of the frame paint from specialist paint supplier and did the frame and swing arm.
All put together and got it running. First ride out was to Willingham woods to meet some of the members off the previous Ducati Forum. Halfway home it went pop.
The engine was locked, luckily it happened at a junction barely doing 20 mph.
Having been recovered to home started stripping. It had dropped a valve in the Horizontal Cylinder chewed the head up real bad and bent the other three valves.
SP heads are pretty rare and so I took the head to an Engineer in Northalerton. He repaired it fitted new guides and sourced some forged one piece valves costing half the... -
Cafe Racer Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer
So it had been 2 years since my accident, where an older gentleman in a bit of a hurry decided to chance it across a set of busy traffic lights, ignore a red light to where he was met by myself on my pride and joy Monster 1100S.
Needless to say there wasn't much left of the bike nor my right arm afterwards and it was completely written off and my arm now rebuilt to the full terminator 2 specification.
Well after a break away and a build up back to fitness, I finally picked up my new Cafe Racer and got myself back on board a Ducati.
The first one to be taken delivery of from JHP Coventry, its got a fair bit of attention. Not to mention its gorgeous modern day/retro looks straight out of the box. Complete with Termi race slip on, just to give it a bit more character and a few more pops and bangs up and down the cogs.
Looks as though I've been one of the first to take delivery in the country and I can say its not let me down. Its everything you can ask for in a comfy good looking,... -

959 First Ducati 959 Utter Joy!
Hello to all.
Picked up my first Ducati after years of Aprilia ownership and have to say I haven't stopped smiling yet.
Had an RSV1000r for 8 years and everything is a revelation. I must stop looking at buttons and settings whilst riding though ha.

1098 1098r Impending Arrival
I'm super excited at the impending arrival of my new race bike on Friday. It's currently being transported down to Hungary.
This is a bike that has been on eBay a few times in a different level of spec. The seller reduced the spec and price and I made him an offer. I then negotiated a few extras to be included too [emoji3]
It was a cat C write-off but I don't care about that, I'm never going to put it on the road.
I'm hoping to be able to connect to the OBD so that RaceChrono can access RPM and throttle position. Has anybody else managed to do this?

My D16 In Bike Magazine!
A fellow D16 owner pinged me recently saying that Bike magazine were interested in my bike for an article on "exotica that actually gets used" and asking whether he could pass my details on.
Of course I said yes - wouldn't it be great to have your bike featured in a mag?!?!
Anyways, they interviewed me over the phone and then sent out a photographer. I gather the article should appear in the next couple of months

Hello Folks My Sc.
I've had my SC 1000 Sport for 7 years, bought as a standard bike and slowly over time have turned it into what I wanted hope you like it. The best mod engine wise was the PUC2 intake from Intake Express big difference with throttle response power wise I don't know as I have never Dyno'd the bike yet.
P.S: It is louder than a loud thing on a loud day as well:tearsofjoy: -
Cafe Racer I Miss My Full Throttle!
since chopping in my FT and getting the dvt, I kinda miss the raw simplicity, don't get me wrong I love the dvt it's a phenomenal piece of kit but for popping to the pub on a sunny evening, with jeans on I don't think you can beat the scrambler! So much so that I'm off to test ride this, I think it's got that sort of timeless look that won't look out of place in a few years time and it will compliment the multi! -
My 1998 Gse-jhp-bayliss Tribute......phew
It's took a while but she's 99.9% complete, yep another hybrid- 748 with a 1098 motor, not much in the way of standard bits on her, mainly custom machined & fabricated with a sprinkling of exotica. I won't bore you with the nitty gritty of it but I know you like pics so I'll bung a few up -
Thieving Scum
My garage got screwed early hours of Saturday morning resulting in my 1299 Panigale, Tl1000R and my son's kx85 getting nicked plus all the families mountain bikes. I've always secured the door from inside thinking the windows at the back were secure enough. They've been screwed closed and painted over.
The scumbags came into the garden and tried to jemmy a window open smashing the glass in the process. I then think realising they couldn't force it open they took the time to unscrew the window completely.
Fair to say having not heard a thing when I found out what had happened it was a shit feeling.
Saturday morning some kids playing on some scrubland about half a mile away found the Pani and mountain bikes hidden amongst the trees. Luckily after telling their parents who'd heard of my garage getting done they knocked on my door to tell me. The Pani was on its side stand still with its steering lock on but had fallen over. The kids did say they see someone come and pick it back... -

Got Round To Cleaning My New 1199
I'm pretty ocd when it comes to paintwork and when I first viewed the 1199 before it was clean I knew it had been washed badly by the previous owner.
It didn't have a tank pad so the tank, sides of the fairing etc were quite dull from leathers rubbing, back end had a few marks from what I'd guess was his boot catching when he cocked his leg over it.
I'm well aware this kind of thing doesn't bother the majority of people and some don't even notice but I like things to look there best and quite enjoy seeing the improvement.
When I picked it up the lad that cleaned it prior to me collecting said that he'd "really gone to town on it". Wheels were still dirty, chain grease all over the place, under tail section and exhausts all still dirty and I don't think the callipers have ever been cleaned but at least he tried.
Now I'm sure to most it looks fine but I'll show the areas that needed most attention.
I got it in the garage that night and went over it with some quick detailer...
