Open Day for all Ducati dealers in UK and Ireland
First opportunity to see all new 2017 Models
Chance to win a Ducati Track day experience including bike hire
The 8th April is an important date for not only Ducatisti but for all motorcyclists’ calendars. This is the day that Ducati dealers throughout the UK will open their doors to one of the most exciting model ranges to leave the hallowed doors of the Ducati factory in Bologna.
Ducati dealers will roll out the Ducati red carpet for customers to view the new 2017 model range that includes a wide range of motorcycles catering for all tastes and needs whether they are interested in the Ducati or Scrambler brands.
For lovers of the Ducati brand, then purists will sway towards the Monster family which for 2017 sees the update of the Monster 1200 family on both standard and S models. However this is much more than just a facelift as the bike captures the essence of the original iconic Monster. It evolves with a compact, light... -

959 First Day With The 959.
Well picked the bike up yesterday from Lancashire and took it out for a good ride today. The bike is awesome and I 100% made the right choice.
Ordered a few goodies for it already. A ducati tank pad,
Exhaust hanger,
Bobbin reels,
Seat cowl,
Rad guards.
Anyway here's some pics. I've now took orange reflectors off front forks.

1299 I Finally Got One
Well I've only gone and sold the Lotus and picked myself a lovely 1299s with just 1450 miles on the clock. I am so pleased with the bike, it's epic. I was not so pleased with the 60 mile ride home in the pissing down rain and almost losing the reg plate!
I'll post some pictures later when I take some. -

999 Dymag Carbon Wheels... An Opinion.
Got my new Dymags fitted yesterday and made hay while the sun shone so to speak,i went for a 20 mile round trip on twisty roads and although i'm no expert bike road tester even I could tell that the bike handled better than it did before, tipping into corners with very little effort ,holding a line like never before and even accelerating out of corners what seems like blisteringly faster than before...so anyone dilly dallying about getting a pair of CF wheels,go for it ...i'm very impressed.

1200 R Got It.
My 1200 R was delivered last Thursday, but I was working away and never got to see it until Friday, but then had to go away until Sunday, but home Sunday afternoon and the sun was shining so did 50 miles. Absolutely love it. Ducati Glasgow supplied the bike with the Termi's and Evo Tech rad guards already fitted, and DB killers removed so I don't even know what it sounds like on standard cans, but love the Termi's. After my quick run I fitted the Evo Tech tail tidy and exhaust hanger. Think this bike is gonna be a keeper, just need to do some miles and get it run in. Here's a few pics. -
Mhr900 Garage Find
Through the Scottish Ducati Club I was recently asked to help an elderly lady assess the value of her late husband's bike as she was looking to sell it.
It turns out that it is a 1980 Mike Hailwood Replica, only of the early ones with the one piece fairing.
That bike has been laid up for 10 years or so after her husband had been knocked off it by a lorry when stationary.
After a succession of emails I eventually went to look at it last weekend. Here are a selection of photos showing the condition that it is in.
The brake lever is bent, there are score on the master cylinder at the pivot. The part of the twistgrip that engages the cables is missing.
Mileage is 27,723 km.
Brake lever is bent but would be easily straightened
The red paint on the tank has some flaking above the logo but the tank itself is undamaged and internally is relatively rust free.
There is some scuffing on the lower fairing as a result of the accident with the lorry.
Flaking of the paint... -
My Baines Imola
I'm desperate to be a hipster ;-)
Trouble is I've got no beard (or hair for that matter!) so I can't easily get the look ... and none of the current crop of factory retros really appeal. Each to their own and all that but I have an almost allergic reaction to their lack of authenticity.
I was actually hunting for a 900SS bevel when I found my 888 SP4 and ended up buying that instead. The itch didn't go away though so I've been keeping my eye out.
Trouble is at the back of my mind was the worry about how high maintenance a bevel might be ... I've got my hands more than full with bikes to look after already. It's more than I can do to keep them all on the road as it is. I need to reduce the burden, not add to it!
I was thinking about turning my ST4s into a flat tracker ... but sacrificing such a minter would be nigh-on sacrilege and I can't help thinking that a two-valve engine would be less effort to maintain and look better sans fairing.
Then I spotted this for sale ... built... -
