999 Febur-bursi Body Kit

  1. Nice looking black and silver febur bursi carbon body kit currently on eBay, not sure how to post a link, but it's easy enough to find, including long range fuel tank...is it really worth this much? ..

  2. If that is what you want, yes. To be fair, the tank is worth the bulk of that on its own. Similar Ducati carbon kit for a 748 was well over a grand and if you were that way inclined, paint was extra. It certainly looks a bit special. Andy

  6. Might be interested in his Red bodywork, looks like the nose fairing is for the later red frame models, ,judging by the vents, how difficult would it be to fit it to my 2004 999s....? Any advice welcomed.

  7. This is my gear. The Febur kit fitted all 999s, as should the Casoli kit because it's taken from a mould from it. Both use 2004 screens. As mentioned in my advert, it is significantly lighter than the OEM carbon body, and with the tank on as well, my 999R feels very different - utterly agile.

As for it looking bloated... I don't understand that at all. Must be the pics. The body is significantly narrower than the standard body - it's altogether lighter and more lithe.

It was a major drama me getting this stuff from the States. I bought it because the rest of my R has a lot of Febur kit on it (not least the swing arm) and I thought the Motorwheels 999R was the most beautiful bike I'd ever seen. Mine looks identical with that bikes black body on it. I've never fitted the Casoli body, but the guy I bought it off had a '04 749. I bought the red body so I could track the bike without risking the Febur stuff.

And Andy, thanks for your comments about the tank (and Yellow for your comments re the whole thing). The painting on the tank and body is complex, with bare carbon and hand pin-striping. It's also very beautiful on the bike, which a lot of the long range tanks most certainly are not.

    Hope this helps.

As for the Febur body, I'm tempted to take it off EBay because I wanted to net 2k minimum. Which still means a £1.5k loss to me… The EBay and PP fees seem ridiculous!

    Thanks guys. Richard
