It's a thing of beauty Viv - but I know nothing about guitars. Is it any good? What's the difference between this and a Stratocaster for instance? Or a flying V? Or a Gibson Les Paul (..... errr that's the end of the list of guitars that I know the names of!) Anyone care to enlighten me? I've often thought about trying to learn to play ... not that I have any damn time to do so!
Dave there are those self tunning guitars. Seen one at play during gadget show live in excel (do not remember brand). It was wicked as not only it self tunes you can also tell it to act as bass, acoustic, 12 string guitar. You can also get it to act as a odd guitar where all strings are of the same frequency/sound.
A Stratocaster normally has three pickups, three control knobs and is a different shape to the Telecaster.
Oh no no no no no .... sounds like the guitar equivalent of a Panigale or a Multistrada with all those electronics ... I like my toys bareback raw
I could teach anyone to play guitar really quickly. You would sound completely sh**, but at least you would know which was the front bit ! Seriously though, at least five tunes in one day.
If you were going to learn to play, you could do a lot worse than buy Viv's Tele. Loads of people use or have used Teles: Jimmy Page on the original Dazed and Confused (though he is more often associated with the Les Paul); Huge Cornwell (Stranglers), The Boss - fact just about everyone uses one at some stage. A fairly raw, no frills and simple guitar. I'll get one myself one day, but for the time being, have enough to be getting on with with the 3 I already have. Do learn to play. Best decision I have made in the last 5 years. A source of endless amusement, a mission in life and a very inexpensive hobby.

That would be my choice if I wear to learn how to play. You can always later move on to manually adjustable guitar but at start one less thing to worry about.
