Is that Jorge's seat at Pramac (given the recent posts about them seeing Pramac as a young talent feeder team and not able to tolerate excessive salaries) ?

 

Clever move by Ducati. Adds a bit more motivation for the current MGP Ducati riders to perform from the very start.

 

5 wins and 7 podiums in moto 2 (against Pedro) last year. Only reason he didn't get a ride this year is Morbidelli (somehow).

 

Jorge will take Jacks space at KTM i reckon. Fabio will end up trackhouse or on Mavs bike unless Aleix retires.

Jack millar will be on the Yamaha or in WSBK

 

You are only as good as your last race and he wasn’t good at Qatar, basic rookie error off the start line and never managed to make headway. He’s no Acosta and having come straight in to Moto2 (have I remembered that correctly ?) he’ll need another 2 seasons to get seasoned, IMO of course Andy

Looking lower down the teams, there are a few that also do nothing:
Nakagami
Oliveira

I would like to see Fabio on the KTM or Aprilia next year. Not sure what contract he has left but I would expect there is a get out clause.
What a waste having Fabio and Rins on the current Yamaha imo.

Are there three more riders in moto 2 youd give a gp bike to right now? Canet perhaps (and thats a very big perhaps), whos the other two?

 

Zarco is on a 2 year deal at Honda. That is the reason he went as pramac only offered him 1 year

 

He also finished in 5th position. Not to be sniffed at and ahead of many riders considered potential challengers last year!

 

Zarco is the 23/2024 equivalent of Crutchlow. Under appreciated by a lot of fans "hes taking a younger riders seat" etc...but the factories still employ him.
Enjoy him while you can hes a proper "character" imo.

 

Just read the FA contract is for 2 years and with Ducati Corse, the factory, not a team. JM seems a bit peeved Andy

 

Pramac team falls under that umbrella though right?
Makes zero sense handing the best bike on the grid to a rookie otherwise?

 

I guess and it would make sense if JM is being considered for the factory seat. Not sure if Gresini or VR46 fall under the same contractural requirements where they could have a rider chosen for them. Andy
