And ? Looks very similar to the damage on a North American bike what, 2 years ago, cause by a poorly fitted aftermarket fuel cap leaking fuel down the front of the bike. You know you can’t just post pictures without any information. Insert ‘finger wagging’ emoji Andy
And I thought I'd share as it may be of interest to some. Or maybe just to get a discussion going. Or maybe just to worry people. Or maybe people with 2nd hand bikes will check all the recalls are done. Would you like admin to delete it?
Not for me, you make a very good point but you just know someone is going to go all sucky teeth and blame the LiPo battery if you don’t have some explanation as to what you are looking at Andy
Recall point is a good one. IIRC there was a recall issued in the USA for the fuel cap on the first V4’s that took several months later to be issued in the UK. I remember telling my dealer to expect me in for it and they knew nothing about it. Would not be surprised if not all early bikes have had the job done.
2 recalls in the US although they are both implicated in the same outcome https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/20...le-v4-recall-two-issues-with-the-fuel-system/ There is a UK (Kent) based fire here https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1506928566106433 which shows how much of the bike will burn but the reason was reported as a crash
I wonder if the new owners were using the bluetooth option and ducati heard them saying the new pani's were pants, so ducati pressed the auto destruct button
