First Ducati

  1. Well after much soul searching I finally part exchanged my beloved Street triple as I had done everything I could think of to her.

So this morning I collected my first Ducati, a 2008 hypermotard with full SC project exhaust and a Wasp PUK, I have owned a rotax CCM supermotard in the past, but nothing prepared me for a big Ducati. I have a feeling I may be returning my licence to the DVLA soon.

first stop will I think be an open clutch basket just because I can, and I am already considering a steering damper though I am sure it will settle down as I relax into her.

  12. Many thanks for all your welcomes, I hope I will enjoy the Ducati as much as I did the Striple

  13. Welcome to the nutters club!

I parked mine (1100S w/ single Termi race can) in the underground car park at work this morning and as I was walking up the stairs I could hear a rumble of v-twin.
I opened the doors to the road in time to see another 1100 w/ single can ride past and thought to myself "I hope mine sounds that good!"

  14. That is always a problem, you never know what your own bike actually sounds like, unless you lend it to someone else. and for now nobody is borrowing my Ducati.

  15. My mate Andy got so fed up with riding to/from work with me on the Hyper that he went out and bought one as well!
He's just got the Termi race system for his, so once it gets fitted we're going to have a competition to see who can become deaf the quickest :upyeah:
