Hi all. Just like to introduce myself. I'm sixty-three years young and have been riding since 1977, my first bike being a brand new RD250. The dealer I bought it from had a 900SS up on a plinth and my mates and I used to drool over it, a gleaming blue and silver work of Art, it was £2000, well out of our reach, but we dreamed! There have been Suzukis, GSX600, GSX1100EFE, a 98 Blade, a 1969 Bonneville T120R, which I still have, and a Harley XR1200, which I traded in for a new 821 Monster, six months ago, for my birthday. I've only managed about 1500m on it, but I'm well impressed so far. Most of my mates ride and four of us head for Europe every year, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, but were denied this year due to Covid. Hopefully next year, I can't wait to get the Monster on the Route Napoleon! Alan
La Route Napoleon is a great ride! Have you ever ridden la Route des Grandes Alpes? Amazing touring, riding the highest roads of Europe. https://www.mountainpassions.com/summer/scenic-touring/route-des-grandes-alpes-1/ PS: COVID restrictions are an absolute pain in the a$$. If they don’t release the pressure, some officials are going to lose a capital part of their body...
Welcome. Some of the route and N85 is really good. Some even better roads nearby with less traffic. Hope you get to ride here next year
Hey newbie Alan get your pictures up and include your rubbish/recycling bins we like them it’s a newbie rule and it keeps me happy welcome into our mad house
