Took my newly acquired 1198S out for a proper run this afternoon taking advantage of the dry roads and mild weather, i'm very impressed with the amounts of accessible grunt in all gears ,did about thirty five miles in all,cant wait to do a couple of Caddy park track days next year...did notice a quite loud whistling noise when i slowed down for corners etc which had me baffled for a while, when i got back home the whistling was still there and it carried on after i turned the motor off, with my ear close to the top of the tank i traced it to the petrol cap, as soon as i opened it the noise disappeared, looks like a partly blocked vent ...thank god ...i was having thoughts of whining bearings and suchlike. Also got to try my new AGV Ago helmet, pleasantly surprised by the lack of intrusive noise, and its so light i almost forgot i had it on!...recommended.
