Like the title says - got out first time this year. Bike started each time it was asked (several times actually) rode well (for me anyway) not many puddles and back safe after 50ish miles. Feels good .
I slipped my first ride in on 19/2. It looked good the previous afternoon but by then the day had almost passed by. Next day I opened the curtains and thought, this is the day! Waited until just after lunch for the most comfortable temperature of the day and off I went. Eighty odd miles later I'd really enjoyed myself but was ready for the warmth of the house! Of course, I had to clean the old girl the next day, get all those dirty water marks off
Yesterday was the day for me. Took the 1000ss out for a spin. Was impressed when it started first time, I didn't go too far, only about a 25mile round trip but it was great to get out after what has seemed to a long winter, bike sounded great and never missed a beat. Hoping for some dry weather at weekend so I can get further but prefer to go out at night after work when the roads are quiet, so the lighter nights can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned. I'm not getting the Panigale out just yet until we get some proper sun and warmth. I'm not really bothered though at the moment as it gives me chance to enjoy the SS and ease myself back onto two wheels and dust off the winter cob webs at a more leisurely pace.
Sounds good BigM, ya lucky devil. I quite fancy an 899 pani meself - need to start saving I think! Good feeling that first run out eh!
First ride for me in almost 6 months this morning. Just down to the dealer to have full service, MOT and Keyless Fuel Cap done. Only about 25 miles but started first press of the button and ran faultlessly.
Wet and miserable this morning, good job I went out on the bike yesterday and what a lovely ride it was only interrupted by a pork and stuffing cob half way through the journey, no it didn't jump out in front of me I stopped and made a purchase. Steve
