So this afternoon I finally got to take my 696 out for a spin. I absolutly love it it' the most fun bike I've ridden I think, it just make me wanna play about, not sure if that' a good thing though... Anyways, I noticed a few things. Mine has the front fairing on with a screen on and it seem a bit flappy, if I' in to lower gear it vibrates. Has anyone had this an is there anything I can do to stop it? Was thinking maybe a carbon faring would be stiffer? Also I'm found the gear leaver quite low too, hopefully I can get enough adjustment but has anybody else had this? Cheers
Welcome to the wonderful world of V-twin Ducati's. Vibrations with the little fairing and screen are perfectly normal, Mrs M has a 796 Monster and is exactly the same. My 1198 and Panigale a 'vibey' too, its the nature of the beast with Ducati's so don't worry about it. Not sure a carbon replacement will make a huge amount of difference to be honest. Adjusting the position of the gear leaver is an easy fix for you too, adjusting it will be in your owners manual and its a simple process. Google and YouTube will also provide the information required if you didn't recieve the owners manual with the bike. HTH
Thanks, I was just wondering about the screen as I thinks it' had a larger one fitted so that would make the vibes worse I guess. Gonna have a play with the leavers today then go for another ride
