Hi all. Just wondering what is people's experience of getting the first service thrown into the deal for a new ducati. I got first service free on my first brand new bike from kawasaki, usually with the cars u can get it free or a small fee £50-100. I know trying to get any kind of deal from ducati is like drawing blood from a stone Does anyone get any good deals or is it just accepted as the ducati experience to pay top price for everything
Only got offered 10% off all accessories with a new purchase. Just a note that OYB ducati are now charging £82 per hour for spannering.
It’s all down to asking, best bet is play one dealer against another, it’s the right time of year to get a better deal, the first service is a joke , oil change and check nothing is falling off, it costs them next to nothing so if they won’t throw that in for free I’d go elsewhere on principle!, recently bought a Peugeot scooter for my wife, got £200 off the rrp, the first 2 services free, a £130 lock and chain and a £40 pair of gloves, all because I kept pushing him, took half an hour, I do wonder what else I could’ve got if I’d pushed even harder though .
I’ve had a free first service before now when I bought a new Ducati. Not on all of them mind you, but in those cases I’ve had really good trade in prices offered.
Had a free first service thrown in on the last new bike I bought which was an MV . If you dont ask, you don't get !.
I bought a second hand V4S and they wouldn't budge on the price at all, but I managed to get a few freebies thrown in which works well for them as they will have good margins on the retail prices so they aren't offering as much as you think so everyone wins. I got rear paddock stand, and evotech tail tidy and a spare set of new front brake pads thrown into my deal.
