First Time Ducati Owner From Nz

  1. Hi guys.
    Recently have just purchased my first Ducati in the form of a 996. I bought it as a non running project and like with most of my projects that I work on, I've gone way too far with it!
    I will try to post a build thread at some point as there is some cool parts that will be going into it.
    Hopefully should be on the road in a few months.
    I'm scratching to take it out for that first ride!

    Where abouts in kiwi land are ya?
    I'm from West Auckland myself but live in London these days...
    I rebuilt a 748 a few years back, great fun.

  7. I'm in central Auckland, Mount Eden to be exact.
    I was close to buying a 748 veggie this 996 came up at the right price. Do you have any recommendations for who to use for the machine or engine build as I'm close to assembly atm.
    Pics with bins might have to come later as there's not much to see of the bike atm.
    I'm expecting to get my CNC ported heads back tomorrow so pics of that might have to do for the moment.

  8. Welcome Chris and we all like a good build thread. Don't worry there's not much to see at the moment we can all work it out so start that thread and post the pics, oh and bins to keep ducbird happy:)

    I can't recommend any mechanics in nz, I've not been home in 16 years!!
