I took the Hypermotard to the IAM Skills Day at Croft circuit last week. First time on a track, first Skills Day. I joined the Novice group and totally enjoyed myself and the Hypermotard, going from a scaredy-cat approach to corners to increase my confidence in how much grip I had, and in placing my bike where I wanted. Last sessions was “freedom from your instructor”, so Billy Big Bollocks here went solo, having huge fun apart from clipping a cone with my foot, until my ego was shattered when the young blonde lady instructor on the Street Triple passed me like I was standing still! Lots to learn still. Doing this made me a much more confident rider, and I’d recommend it to anyone. Sorry for the four poor souls who travelled from NI the night before, to find their bikes had been stolen overnight.
