  1. Evening
Just bought my first Ducati at Christmas, been thinking of getting one for years (had 3 Aprilia's). I hope its not a sign of things to come, but its already broken down once. Dealer fixed it straight away and said it was the gear position sensor! Lets hope all the bugs are out of the system! duc1.jpg

  6. Welcome to the forum DAJ. In my experience with my 1260 over 4+ years and 19000 miles reliability isn't an issue. That's probably jinxed me now :D

  8. Welcome into our mad house

    A Ducati isn't a Ducati without a little niggle or 10 :D

  9. Welcome and hopefully you enjoy many happy trouble miles.

  10. Only once, you must have a good one then! :)

Seriously tho, welcome and hope you have no more issues.

  11. Did you enjoy your ride yesterday?

  12. Welcome, the bike is generally very reliable, I had very few issues in 50000 miles, but 2 are well known and reoccurring.

    1) your gear position sensor, I had 3, a replacement one was faulty, so 2 really.
    2) Fuel gauge sender. If your starts to read empty when full , or becomes wildly inaccurate, or the fuel light stays on, this sensor has failed. It doesn’t affect performance like the gear sensor will, it’s just an irritating PIA. They have been ‘upgraded’ several times, yet still fails as regularly as a Tory Govt.

  13. As per previous good points. On 4th Mutley and never had an issue. Marvellous machines enjoy!

  14. Hi yes thanks, got the bike very dirty, lots of mud on the roads.
I'm reading all the screen threads to find out which solution to buffeting and noise I'm going to try first. Probably the spacers
