Fitting exhaust!

  1. Picked up a termi stubby and fitted it last night. When I took the existing standard can off I cleaned and lubed the valve spring mechanism. I noticed that the cable was on the first eye hole of the disc that operates the valve. I have moved it to the 2 nd hole and noticed it just keeps the valve open when you turn the throttle. Is this ok? There seemed to be a lot of slack on the cable anyway, so before when you turned the throttle the valve was very slow in opening, after running the bike with the new mod, no error lights came on? Is this ok ?
    cheers andy

  2. There is a little motor that operates the valve at about 3 to 4000 rpm and the ecu senses the movement. If it is stuck or in your case the cable is too tight and no movement is detected, you get an error message on the dash. I suggest you get someone like CJS in Bristol to disable the valve in the ecu.
