Hi, I am about to fit a Starcom system to my Multi, and am wondering how to conncet my helmet headset cable. I have the bracket that fixes to a circular tube somewhere, but the only place I can see to fix this is on the handlebars. Any suggestions?
Here's how I did it. I did not use the Starcom1 bracket. I made a simple mounting bracket out of 3mm aluminium which i sandwiched between the handlebar mounting clamp. This then also serves as the mount for my Zumo 660. I did have to have ~1.3mm milled off the bottom face of the clamp to make it fit properly. This is a very comfortable place for the Starcom1 socket to go - no tension on the cord. Obviously for the pillion, locating the socket at the handlebar is ridiculous. So I made a little bracket that fixes to the pillion power socket.
