Must have been asleep for the last 18 months as I have only just noticed the flashing red Lights around the round part of the dash. I usually park the bike in the garage, walk away and not go back in the garage for several days and I have not seen these lights flashing. Is it the alarm/immobiliser and do they go out if the bike is left for a period of time? Also the new DVT version arrived in my dealer today, handlebars not fitted etc so straight off the transport. Parked next to the existing model it looks a lot bigger. The petrol tank is higher and the beak being flatter (existing bike it is slightly pointing down) all add to the appearance of being bigger. Does look good though, I will be trying it soon.
Mine does the same (red light flashes on leaving bike then stops after a period of time) and I have always assumed it was something to do with immobiliser. Couldn't find anything in the Owner's Manual but it's never caused a problem in 2.5+ years of ownership so I don't give it a second thought anymore.
