I seem to have a slight flatspot, but this one is higher up the rev range. I need to work out exactly what revs but Im guessing its about the 7.5k mark. The bike stutters momentarily, clears its throat and off again. Most noticeable when the bike accelerates quickly ie in 2nd 3rd and 4th, not so much 5th and 6th. Bike is 1 2011 S Sport. Lots of bling on it but nothing engine related. Runs on the termi slip on. Bike is faultless that aside. Runs great, I even think the low down fuelling is more than decent. Any ideas easily checked out? Cheers
Better seek the advice of a good dealer/specialist. Mine has a little micro pause sometimes coming on the power but not at any specific rpm. I have the cat removed and std ecu so probably a fueling issue. Is your exhaust valve working correctly?
I dont want to overplay this because its not a massive issue, a stutter morelike. Im checking the exhaust valve. Help me out on this one chaps please. I turn the ignition on, the valve mechanism seems to check itself through the entire rotation of its movement so thats good I think. How else do you check this with engine running. How much should it move and at what step points in the rev range? Cheers.
Is this something you have just noticed or has it been doing it since you had the bike? The only real way without guessing is either a dyno or diagnostic session. We could speculate till the cows come home without hitting the issue, and it is an issue because it is obviously niggling away at you.
