My new monster is controlled by fly-by-wire and ive never had it before and find it a little jerky especially at low speed in town coming off a closed throttle. Any hints or tips on how to smooth things out
Hi Andy, it should settle down after the first service and with a few more miles on the clock. However if it's really bad, you can adjust the power delivery in the rider mode settings to a more linear delivery, but of course this obviously would apply to all your riding in that particular mode. The other option is to switch it to Urban or Touring for towns and slow traffic and then back into Sport just before you hit the open road again.
will do mate, I should be home Saturday afternoon and if the weathers good I'll be out on the bike early evening and again on Sunday, and everyday actually for the next 6 weeks.
I'm working for next 10 days myself but there is a rideout from ians school of motoring on Sunday 11th
My Multistrada developed a slight stiction in the throttle which only was apparent at slow speeds when subtle use of the throttle was required. My dealership dismantled the throttle and added some grease, which solved the problem.
I could tell it was a problem by closely observing the twist grip and trying to very slowly and gently turn it with fingers. It should be obvious if this is your problem, or not.
