Foam Instrument Panel

somebody has got them re-made in the past, will search at leisure. If someone found a foam source then the rest is not too bad.

 

Are they not available from Ducati.

 

They were @5yrs ago, not sure now, but when I ordered one it turned up in a much lighter grey material.
Note it was ordered from a Ducati dealers, and came with all the usual Ducati labels etc.

I'm probably teaching you to suck eggs, but anyhoo- I use this site to see if parts are available. I then use the part no. to order it from a dealer.

I was offered a grey one from a local dealer in recent times, it was new but it'd crushed storage marks and listed at a premium price as usual, i walkED away from that secondhand look.

 

I've been through this before. You can't get new ones, but the three dial is easier to find in new condition. I do have a nearly new dash which I put on my bike for a while, it looks pretty much mint, which I would sell if interested. I'm home tomorrow and can get pics. Ive gone to a 3 dial

 

Spill the beans. Where can you get a new two dial foam dash from?

 

I don't think you can. I got it NOS a few years ago

 

I completely misread your post! Sorry! I thought you said "you can". I'd like a new one. Not grey though!

The part I ordered @5yrs ago was 40810041A, but I can't remember if I ordered it through Snells or Moto Rapido.
I do remember it being really cheap, and excitedly ripping the packaging open only to be really disappointed when I saw the colour of it.
As mentioned it was definitely a genuine Ducati part.
Looking online now that part number is coming up as no longer available, but I did find this:

I measured this up a number of years ago and have a .dxf file.
I supplied someone the .dxf file for them to get it cut out but did not here anything back. I would have to check but think its a closed cell foam not really sure of the material. Also from memory it was 24mm thick, not sure thats available so would possibly be 25 or 2 x 12 maybe. If any one wants the file to get some done thats no problem.
Please note I have measure and checked and done the best I can to get it as close as I can to the shape, I would get a test one done first to make sure your happy.

If you look on Ebay for 'black neoprene foam 25mm thick' you can find something that looks like the correct material.

 

Appreciate you may now be sorted, as promised this pic is the dash I have. It was a genuine NOS that I had fitted for less than a year. If anyone is interested PM me
