Foggy tail light. 2013 1200s. The stop/tail light has gone foggy and one of the lamps flickers a bit. Took the unit off and it looks to be sealed. Anyone successfully got one apart and repaired it? Ducati part is about £170. Can't find any non-damaged used ones on eBay. ANyone got a decent one kicking about? Have found some Chinese knock off units which have integrated indicators for under £50. Considering getting one of these and just not connecting up the indicator part of the system. Anyone fitted any? Are they any good? Cheers, Mark
I've been looking at those myself, mine's misted too and makes the rear light quite dim. Aliexpress have the same light for less than £30, probably take 3-4 weeks to arrive but maybe worth a shot, looks the same as the lights on eBay for £70.
I’ve bought various replica head and tail lights for many different bikes from China and I’ve not had a failure yet. Just be aware that there is decent Chinese replica and crap stuff so do your research, Aliexpress usually get items to me in 10-14 days unless they have to manufacture stock.
