Is anyone using aftermarket or alternative footpegs? Looking to change my original ducati pegs as my foot has slipped off a couple of times in wet weather, ideally something without the slippy rubber and maybe a bigger overall contact area would be ideal.
I've installed but yet to try them, AELLA. The quality is out of this world and fitment is perfect. They also allow much more adjustment and raise the peg position to (hopefully) take away the forward hip roll causing discomfort from the legs being too extended. https://www.carbon4us.com/en/monster-1200/7146-aella-adjustable-rearsets.html (I got the black version) I ordered from webike which is a Japanese bike parts distributor. If you want to just change the foot pegs, I previously installed a set of Gilles pegs which greatly helped keep my feet from sliding off like you mentioned but I can't see them online anymore. I will probably sell mine once my winter work is done, keep an eye on the for sale forum
You can remove the rubbers from the footrests. Then you'll have serrated metal which might suit you better.
I have the Wunderlich lowered footrest, you can buy non lowered ones as well (I also have the brake and gear lever extensions), I found them a big improvement you can have them with or without rubber inserts https://wunderlich-adventure.de/en/...1&properties=e630be423e205812afbda59b19d935d9
ive got these touratech wider pegs ive just taken off my 1200 dvt along with engine guard, ive fitted original ones to match the rear myself but have felt like the touratech are definitely more solid footed and wider. I regularly stand up on the pegs as im used to riding enduro bikes so force of habit and a tad worried I may slip on the standard pegs but my ocd has to have matching pegs! ive listed them on Facebook for sale if you want to take a look, they was silver but I had them powder coated black along with the enduro engine guard. https://www.facebook.com/share/14yQHb2bcK/
The SW Motech adjustable footrests look good. They are bigger plus the rubber pad can easily be removed. I did consider them a few years ago for previous girlfriend who wanted some adjustment for the pillion pegs, however, she departed so that was that...
Bit bulky and catch the road more than the standard. Great for off road as the set on my Ktm give great feel when using big off road boots as they are designed for. Hope to get a sport set of a forum member soon as sick of the scraping.
