Hi All, I've decided to sell the 848 and get a bigger bike. I shall be taking off all the trick bits over the next few weeks and selling them separately. Not sure what price they'll be going for as I'll have to do some research first. I'll post photos once they're off the bike and been cleaned up. If you want to make me an early offer then please feel free. I'd like to get early sales so I can get another bike before the summer has been and gone. The following will be up for grabs very soon: Nemesis Traction Control from competition systems. (SOLD) Forged Wheels Plus front discs. Sigma slipper clutch. Ohlins TTX Shock (just serviced) (SOLD) Ohline steering damper and 848 brackets. (SOLD) Superpole seat (bought second hand and slight slight mark / crease) (SOLD) 520 chain set, sprocket carrier and spare sprockets (SOLD) Metal-tech rear-sets, gear change and brake lever (bough second hand and slight scuffs...) (SOLD) GB Racing engine covers. (SOLD) Cheers, Bob
What exactly are the engine covers Bob? Apologies if that is a daft question and the answer is they cover the engine
GB Racing Ducati 848 2008-2014 Engine Cover Crash Protection Set - New | eBay Stops you damaging the original units if you have a slight moment.... Cheers, Bob
Was thinking £600 for the TTX and spare spring. (80 on it, 90 spare) It cost me more than that, then I put the additional spring on it and got it serviced by Ohlins last year. They'll go on eThief second hand for about £750, but they are unlikely to have a spare spring or just been serviced... Cheers, Bob
@GaryO I'll want over £1k for the TC. Don't know what bike I'll be moving up to yet, but if its a 1098 then I may keep the TC (unless its already got one fitted) I did have my eye on an RSV4 but its gone now, so a 1098 could be on the cards...
Apologies for late response to questions, but I'm abroad at the moment and only manage a PC internet connection now and then. Back in Blighty next week... Cheers, Bob
@MarkS the clutch cost me £675 last year. It takes the standard plates. I'd like £475 but will move a bit... I plan to remove it by the end of the first week in June. Cheers, Bob
First road bike was an FZR400. Borrowed my mates 916 and loved the bottom end grunt... Could only get 748 or 996 back then so went for 748 as thought I was too inexperienced for 996. After 10 years went to 848 but still no real bottom end grunt... 899 apparently the same, so will now go for a thou(ish). Favourites being RSV4 or if u can afford it an 1199. Had the 848 for 5 years so don't think I'm jumping too soon...
