Fork seals are shot on my 1100s. I have searched and found a few different threads on this but to be honest I’m not 100% what my forks are. Reason I’m unsure is because some of the threads I’ve read are from owners of the SP and they are mentioning that they had there stanchions black carbon coated. Also the forks in the pictures the casings are black ( pretty sure these are the marzocchi forks ) on mine the stanchions are already black carbon coated and the casings are gold. Anyway. I know some people advise using different weight oil and maximise air gap etc. Just after a bit of advice on this please. Also I’m looking to strip the clutch casing off in the near future to spray and wondered if I do will I have to replace the main seal or not.
