Anyone ever had their fork seals done under warranty? bike 2011' 6000miles and 3rd warranty active (apparently) if not, how much to repair the ohlins set up?
Had both seals done at about 12000 miles on warrranty. They also replaced one of the fork legs. Now 3000 miles later they're leaking again. I decided to change them myself this time, as I also want to change to stiffer front springs. It was easy to remove the forks, just had to buy the tool for the cap on top.
Had one of mine done recently. It was expected to be done under warranty as part of the 15k service and other stuff, but having done the work Ducati wouldn't cover it, so the dealer swallowed the cost of it instead. p.s. Wheels, how much was the tool, and do you have the part number for it ?
Hey John, I bought the tool and springs from dan kyle, Welcome To Kyle Racing's Online Store Dan was very knowledgable and helpful with spring selection and what was needed to change the seals. Oh the tool is $45.00 US. I don't have a part number, but it is a specific tool for the MTS 1200 S, the Panigale needs a different tool.
Thanks for that. Worth knowing, now the bike is out of warranty I'm quite happy to do stuff like this myself, given the right tools ;-)
