Putting the Multi S away today after a short ride and noticed the right fork leaking oil, I have done 12000 miles on it and was wondering if the electronics complicate replacement , Is it a dealer job and is it expensive!
Is the bike not under Warranty......an ever increasing issue (S and non S bikes! i.e. not specifically an Ohlins problem) and Ducati are replacing under Warranty cover ;-) I don't think that the electronics would make the job much more difficult...... My warranty ran out in April Andy but i have taken out a dealer one with Woods so i will ring em in the morning, On the American forum a few owners seem to have had problems with the right fork seal as well!
Having mine done as we speak. Luckily it happened a few weeks before the 2 year warranty ran out, bike has 10K miles. They also found a scratch on the fork tube and are replacing it under warranty as well. So I'm happy, except it took them 2 weeks to get the fork seals.
My fork seals went on my 2012 S Tour at 3,000 miles , dealer replaced under warranty but I was advised that the cause was having ridden the bike extensively during winter on salted roads , Personally I think this is a load of balls ... What do you guys think ?
What a load of shite , This is a bike that we are told can offroad.. I was told that they are thin racing type seals that tend to wear more easily... I am now Multifree until next month unless they can fit the bike in before ..cancellation etc..
