  1. Known issue.
Get ducati to replace under warranty.
Then fit something to take the rubbing.

  2. Thanks for the heads up, new to ducati, proving interesting! Cheers

  3. You'll get some helpful advice on here and something else...but you'll soon wade through it.

  4. Lol, interesting forum, it's not as newbie friendly as others but thanks for the info

  5. Wrap the thick Ventureshield film (1mm?) round the forks when they are pristine / replaced. then no more marks.

  6. My PP has this.

  7. or put the venturesheild over keyboard then no more known issue...

  8. sorry :D (ment to ad that)

  9. If the hat fits....

  10. it used to... :Banghead:

  11. I cut a bit of clear book covering vinyl and stuck it in that section. Still there after 18 month and has done the job.

  12. There is a plastic clamp/bracket you can fit, I believe it was originally fitted to a 749, I fitted it after mine was damaged by the brake lines, seems to do the trick! No rubbing now. If I can find the pt no's I'll post them.

  13. Found them clamp is 741.1.030.1B, nut 747.5.011.1A and screw 771.5.041.8B. You need one of each cost is around a fiver, I manged to get my dealer to fit them F.O.C.

    Hope this helps.

  14. I used clear stick on plastic ovals that the mountain bikers use to protect frames and chain stays.
    On eBay.

  15. Same here, reported it yo dealerwhile ag and its in for some warranty work over winter so hope gets sorted at same tim

  16. Yesterday my dealer let me know Ducati had approved a replacement under warranty. They are going to fit a bracket to stop re-occurance. Very happy with the service and outcome.

  17. That tie wrap head is professionally positioned and looks to have done most of the damage - but I guess it still rubs without it from the comments. Is the tie wrap standard from the factory - if not the dealer may blame that.

  18. The tie wrap is as fitted by the factory. Not what you would expect on such an expensive bike but it is going to be sorted and that, rather than apportioning blame is what I am interested in. Sh*t happens despite your best endeavours, it is how you deal with it that matters. It is all about customer experience!

  19. Ohlins....
    Oops sorry. :p
