  1. How much sticks out from the top of the yokes, iirc its 11mm odd to the main lip, if this makes sense.

  2. I measured mine before I stripped the bike for rebuild, not sure if this is the set standard position though. image.jpg

  3. My memory was wrong, it is more, i have it at a smidgen under 20mm. Cant see it making much difference if its a few mm of the standard

  4. I think you will find 18mm is about right........the more through, the faster it steers.

Mine are approx 25mm and it steers bloody quick!

  5. Thanks folks for posting, I had written down 18.4mm in the Haynes I just missed it. Measured it and set but I have a carbon yoke cover which adds a mm hence the 20mm ish.

  6. Extract from the Ducati workshop manual re fork height adjustment:

  7. I pushed mine right to the edge to slow the steering down and reduce the tank slappers

  8. If you get tank slappers, it isn't the distance through the yoke.....check or slacken the headstock bearings a bit.

  9. to be fair i am running an 1100 evo in the frame.

  10. Thatll do it, lol

  11. Has anyone fitted a steering damper to reduce tank slappers ? Ohlins do a nice pricey bolt on I believe .

  12. I don't think it is that bad, to justify one on these bikes more of a head shake on bumpy surfaces when accelerating hard

  13. Yes sir..........They all do that.

  14. Yeah, think its overkill on an SS
