Is anyone interested in arranging a forum outing to Castle Hedingham in Essex next year? The owner is always interested in having new events there, and would love to have a display of Dukes and possibly other Italian exotica ( note EXOTICA not EROTICA) and I'm sure Norfolk Longbowmen would be there to allow you all to try our traditional longbows.
Ok, so there is some interest here. I will have a chat with Lord Lindsey tomorrow and see if we can get a date in the diary for next year. Anyone else interested pm me particularly if you have contacts with any other groups who we could get to join us. We need to get as much interest as possible to confirm a date and if there are enough folks/groups then food etc could also be arranged to be on site as well as the usual castle stuff. The DSC have a large-ish group based around Chelmsford, so we're always up for a day out! There's about a dozen of us who get together regularly and we always do ride outs, trips and do displays at shows like the recent Southend Italian Day.
Ok, so interest is growing. Yesterday's classic Porsche event was the best attended day I have seen in over 10 years of archery at the castle, so if it continues at this rate we could have a really good day. Is anyone on here associated with other clubs/groups/marques etc as I think that tying it in with say, Guzzi, Benelli,Morini etc would widen the interest and make for a brilliant day. We, as Norfolk's Longbowmen would run a competition to raise funds for a motorcycle related charity. All ideas gratefully received. Chris
Antonye, we are discussing lots of options for next year, including running a charity competition during the 4 bank holiday weekends and the current thinking is that we run the comp for the whole year, dividing the profits 3 ways, Essex and Norfolk Air ambulance and the castle restoration fund. The air ambulances are always popular and we all hope we don't need them! I personally know 2 people who have used the Norfolk one ( 1 was the first guy and if it weren't for them he wouldn't be walking now!) Any other ideas anyone?
Can I come as well Better get my passport sorted . Or start tunnelling , we are forbidden to leave Suffolk ..
If it doesn't come off at Hedingham, you can all always come here before I move (if I ever sell the place)...can park at least 50 bikes, maybe more;....... .........all so that you can annoy the stuffed shirt neighbours in the village.......:wink: AL.

Al your not planning an on mass rev up are you Two bikes just being started here is enough to upset bag next door! Yet I have to listen to her daughter who is not a baby scream most of the day ! And night!
