Hello everyone. First question about the frame is: Since my bike had crash I can't find proper frame for my 848 Evo 2011. I will post pics so you can see current situation of the frame, let me know if this frame can be fixed/straightened. Does anybody know can I use 1098 frame on my 848 Evo without any problems if my 848 Evo frame can't be fixed/straightened ? Pics - PICS FOR FRAME Second question about dashboard is: After crash happend my old dashboard still works, bike does start properly, no bad sounds at all but the display is dead (I can't see km/h, rpm or anything at all) So I bought used set of dashboard with came with ECU & key & ignition, I even extracted key code from the dash and code is accepted, yellow triangle being removed instantly but I still have Immo 37.5 error (I must say that I didn't put ignition in the place where it should stay of old one because I don't know how to unscrew ignition) I also tried to reprogram the key but no luck. My question is can I use my old broken dash which works perfectly well as mentioned in earlier line, open it with screwdriver and just take motherboard from broken dash and move it to new dash which display works properly ? By that I will pass immo problems and I will use my original keys & keycode card as before. Third question about forks: My forks also was bent so I had to buy new forks, I bought Ohlins FG811 from Ducati 1198S, year is 2009 and I also bought triple clamp for them (From same bike) My question is in order to fit them on my Ducati 848 Evo 2011, what I need to do ? Do I need anything more or just lower triple clamps from 1198S ? Pics - PICS FOR FORKS & TRIPLE CLAMP Many thanks
I think the 1198 has bigger discs so you may need spacers for your calipers. I also think the triple stem is longer on the 848 so not a particularly practical swap. The immo error might just be due to an ignition ring failure but i would have thought entering the code would clear that. Given the damage pictured did much of the bike actually survive the impact?
I'm not an insurance assessor, but I'm fairly sure that in the uk that frame would come under a category A or B and should not be put back on the road. IMO that frame is scrap.
Okay so update I tried to swap motherboard from 2009 dash into 2007 dash so I could use 2007 dash display with 2009 motherboard because then I would skip immo.
