Hello guys just wondering where to get a set and how much you recon it will set me bk? Wanna good red to go with red MTS touring. Thanks guys
If the plugs are the same size as other Ducati's (does anyone know?) You can get a set from China for under £50. I'd love to know the answer myself.
Ive ordered a set from China, if your prepared to wait till they arrive i can let you know if theyre any good. Other than that I like the MPL stuff. Have em on my 916 and they are very good.
Also a link to the MPL stuff would be good, also why have you not gone for MPL again if they are good?
Testing out the chinese stuff. They're cheaper. 50%. Just via eBay. Been meaning to buy something cheap chinese to look at quality. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-CN...pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item4152b2b703
Go for the CNC stuff and remember using Conquest Carbon, who I believe are now stockists of the CNC range, you can save between 10-20%. I've got the black ones fitted to my red Mutli because of the black frame and they really do look the biz!
Hi TonyMNo1, Do you get the 7 frame plugs from CNC as you do with the Chinese ones linked above? The webpage on the Conquest Carbon website doesn't say.
Could be fine, I bought some of the Chinese CNC Levers for my Kwak last year. Comparable to the genuine Pazzo's I have had before - in honesty I would say the finish was actually better with much less machining marks on them from the milling process too. Only thing I did find is the anodized finish went to a dark bronze/grey from black (and at least they faded consistently across the whole thing rather than patchy) after around 6 months, but the bushings, fastenings etc was all top dollar with no rust. Would not hesitate to buy some again - but I think the Multi comes with adjustable levers both sides already?
This stuff works.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/2613...ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95&ff19=0
Hi Mark, My sincere apology for such a late reply to your question. In fact I bought mine from a German supplier's website, without knowing that Conquest Carbon sold CNC products. Personally I would recommend the CNC products due to the quality and from previous well noted experience from many forum users here, the quality of the 'Chinese' offerings is often, but NOT always (before anyone shouts foul!!) that good, although certainly a whole lot cheaper. You know how the saying goes, "you get what you pay for", so you pay your money, you make your choice. On your question, the frame plug set I bought had all four for each side, but not the curved pair for the top end of the frame, these had to be an additional order. Also if you have crash protectors fitted to the middle lower frame you won't need two of the plugs, but with buying them as a set, you'll end up with a couple of spares like I did. I got them from Carbonworld.de and from memory I think they cost circa £174 all in for every frame plug, including the curved items, which were as much as the full set for the entire frame.... Cheers and good luck with what you decide upon. The Conquest guys are really helpful so give them a shout. For some odd reason at the moment I simply can't get onto their website as it won't connect, I don't know what's going on there. Regards
I have just ordered some. They are on their way from Hong Kong, apparently. Wonder how long they will take, and if they will be any good.
@bootsam What colour did you opt for? It would be good to see a pic or two of them fitted if you get a chance.
I opted for Black as my frame is black. I'll fit em tonight and take a pic. Which reminds me ive still gotta take a pic of my nylon paddock stand sleeve for someone too...
Hold fire on purchases. They look great but I'm afraid the bottom fat tube has a chamfer. See Pic Quality of part is fine top one too hs a mild chamfer so it sits off centre. These would be fine on a 916 where the end of the tube is square. But on any bike where the end of the tube isn't square, they'll need some fettling. Oh well, i'll make them fit.
