I'm trying to find an adhesive material which is the same or similar to the material that R&G use in their boot guard kits but in a sheet form. I've bought the R&G ones which are cut to shape which is great, but me being me I do not like the way R&G place their name in bold in everything they produce. In this instance they provide a round sticker with their name on which you can either use or discard. If you discard the sticker it leaves a hole in the protection, which just doesn't look right. So, I'm trying to locate an adhesive sheet that will do the job, therefore no hole! Has anyone seen anything like this before.
I’m the same, I’ve got some R&G heel guards on the swingarm of my 899 but I hate having “R&G” splattered all over the bike, not too keen on R&G stuff for this very reason, so I’ve fitted the round R&G logo and then coloured it in black with a felt pen, I’d rather use Evotech where I can,..anyhow, back on subject! During our summer Alps trip I scraped the side of my Ninja 1000 SX pannier on a stone wall in Slovenia and instantly turned the air blue so I was looking for something similar to make kind of corner scuff guards from, cos you forget that you’ve got the panniers on and end up booting them with your heel when you get off the bike, saw this stuff after a search and it looks just like the R&G base material so I’m gonna give it a go ….zoom second pic up, shows texture better https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/620527 Due to be delivered today, should do the job Be interested to see how you get on with your Tuono, been fancying one of these for a while, but people quoting 30 mpg puts me off a bit. Did you get it from Teessdale’s ??
Something like this rubberised grip sheet:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14495876...luQgXR_RVK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
It has just arrived, Sportsbikes shop are flippin amazing with their deliveries, I ordered this lot at about 7:00 pm last night and it’s delivered today just gone 1:00 pm ! New Dainese Gore Tex in boots, some Rev’it short summer gloves and the Oxford transformer protection sheet.. Comparison of Oxford sheet to the R&G stuff already on the 899 swingarm.. The Oxford stuff is quite a bit smoother texture than the R&G, won’t matter on the panniers of my Kwakker, but it wouldn’t look good trying to mix both on the same bike ? Note the round blacked out R&G logo…
