I noticed an 1198S advertised in Bristol on Friday Ad, and wondered if anyone knew of the bike. interestingly, the seller refers to it being re-advertised due to Ducati owner club member, https://www.friday-ad.co.uk/bristol/motorbikes/ducati-1198s-2009-17097275/
I believe that this bike has been advertised elsewhere for quite some time. Perhaps it reflects the tone of the seller more than the bike itself
Literally struggled to read that add, jumps from saying how great the bike is to some service history, then to the bling, then to don't text and repeat. Seller sounds like an idiot just from the add, I don't think I could deal with someone so arrogant when trying to buy a bike.
He isn’t afraid to picture himself posing on his sounds like and look likes a moto GP bike bless him. Her certainly is smitten, wonder why he wants to sell such a pristine bike for over £10k but will accept £9k Bargain for one of you non rain riding MotoGP Gods
You are right Viv, i'm far too grumpy these days, the pictures with him sitting on bike are possibly the most revealing.
I could almost see past the way the ad is written, until I got to the bit about bikes he'd take in PX and he'd do it for £9k.
Could be an older guy whos written word isn’t his strength and who’s been pissed about by people. Bike looks clean. If in the market worth a look. Not everyone can be Oscar Wilde
Curiosity eventually got the better of me. Seemed honest, but slightly bizarre. Initially enquiring if I was old enough to understand what the bike was, and had I had a Ducati before. After a while he seemed to open up and promised to send some more pictures and copy of latest service history. He sent pics next day, but no history, and then just started to insist I had to come and see it etc Most confusing part was pricing. One ad said 10495, but that he would take 9. Another ad said 9500. He then started to try ask 10300. TBH, by now I had lost the will. Plenty of other options around
