Thought I'd ride in to work today, en route it occurs to me that it was 13 months and 13 days since I was hospitalised and got the start of the terminator kit put in me as I ended up with broken bones. Then I remembered the date today. Pulled into the petrol station and thought my boot was rather cold, zip had bust on a pair of sidi's so not a great start to the morning. En route to the square mile and some Rodney on a GS slams straight in to my leg/boot, two sides to choose from and he picked the one with the bust boot and the metal rod in which is still not quite right, so thanks for that! As we all do in these situations I'm more concerned about the bike than me and luckily not a mark on it. Pleasantries exchanged I rode off. Couldn't find anywhere at lunch to fix the boot so had to ride home like this for 35 miles Appreciate it could've been worse but i didn't half feel a plonker!
Ronin, you must be a bit more happy and relaxed now that Holland have thrashed Spain 5-1 Don't know how anyone can ride to London to work, let the train take the strain.
Don't know how anyone can take the train into London to work, it's stressful. Ride a bike daily and take the strain out of commuting. I did for 40 years.
So did I though not for 40 years. It was the off last year that put me on the trains, I get stressed on both journeys, people have no manners anymore, but that's a whole other thread!
Riding in London is great fun, you should try it Roadtrip. I backed my van into a woman's car yesterday, then broke my e-fag. I decided that retiring to the pub was the only safe solution...
I rode my yam ypvs to work one day back in about 1992, not a good choice of bike never again had to stop when i got to Tower hill it was over heating in traffic, best part of a train is the quite carriage were no one use's there mobile, yer right.
I used to courier in London; the job itself was a bit shit, but I always enjoyed the riding. It's the best way to sightsee in London too.
