Some help please, I had the front mudguard extender fitted plus a fender extender fitted when I bought my Multi from Riders, (I like to try and keep as much of the horse shit that's on the road's around here off my bike). Anyway it seems the weight of fender and extender is too great for the allen bolts, so it keeps dropping and rubbing the tyre. So does anyone on here know of anybody making a one piece front mudguard to the same lenghth or greater than my setup, any recommendations ? Thanks Broke.
Hi, I had the same problem. I put an extended front guard on in carbon glued to the short mudguard. To be honest its a crap original fit which doesn't as you say support the extra length, mine rubbed against the tyre too. I remedied it by drilling two small holes either side where the short mudguard fits to existing mudguard and securing with two small cable ties. I have removed the extended mudguard now as I am about to trade my multi in for another. I will take some pics to try to demonstrate how it worked. Vince
Hi, as promised a picture of front mudguard not in its fixed position. the holes that you can see were where i threaded a small white cable tie through.Basically you need to fix the mudguard in place using the two allen screws then lift the front an back of the m guard upwards before drilling the hole. Insert the cable tie x two, when they are secured there will be a gap between m guard and tyre. This sort of fix may not be to your taste but it works! Vince
