Front Mudguard

  1. I have just bought the S Tourer on a 63 plate and I want to extend the front mudguard. So my question is which is the best one to get I am not the best at bike mechanics so it would be good if it is easy to fit as well.

  2. Ilmberger.

  3. Conquest do one and you get forum discount. Andy

  4. But I don't think it's as long as the Ilmberger one.

  5. My bike came with one included which I haven't fitted but don't the touring bikes come with the same thing? It may be that my front fender is very stubby (it is) and the extended I have just makes it regular size.

  6. Count, it sounds like your talking about the normal rear fender piece.
the sports models come with a hose holder.

Take a look at Andy's site here: Motorcycle Info Pages - MTS1200 DIY Mods > OEM Semi-Mudguard Kit & DIY Fender Extender
The first pic shows the hose holder, the second shows the rear fender piece.

The fender extender (like those made by pyramid plastics) fits on the bottom of the rear fender piece, extending it further.

I had a fenda extenda on my last bike, but have decided to fit a cylinder head guard this time around.

  7. I had all sorts in the box. Different rear fender and a front fender extender. None of which I will use included.

  8. Hi, i just got my Multi S Touring today and it does not have a front fender extender fitted or supplied loose, should i have got one with the bike?

  9. dazzbo there's no fender extender as such, just a black rear half of the mudguard supplied with my bike, which attaches to the red (in my case) front half which was already fitted to the bike. A fender extender attaches to this black rear half.

  10. Hi, thanks for that Broke. I went back to my Ducati dealer today and they had forgotten to fit it or give it to me loose like the they had the spare rear hugger. Mind you i can see why they forgot to fit it, its an swine to fit as i am finding out now!

  11. That front extender took me over half an hour to fit. Ridiculous design!
Keep at it though, as it does help keep the water and muck off the front of the engine .

  12. Got it done at last, my garage was blue!

  13. Dazzbo now you've got the back bit on are you going to fit a fender extender

  14. Not sure yet as i think it may look a bit odd, however i have seen a small mudflap fitted on one that looked ok actually and it would give a bit more protection.
